To avoid any confusion, I thought I would start a thread for all chat relating to forthcoming station, Stafford Radio. :)

We'll be joining you on air very soon.
No official launch date yet, but hopefully Stafford Radio will keep us posted. :D

Now I am confused!

Am I right in thinking that after so long without any radio station we are going to get two?

Hopefully! I'm sure Forumite Stafford Radio will be along soon to let us know some details.

Surely you noticed the two new logos that popped-up under Useful Links a few weeks ago? :P

Yeah, after so long without any I believe Stafford Radio said in another thread there may be a possibility of 4 online stations before too long. Staffordians at last have a choice!

Ah yes, that was it....

Exciting times for Stafford, very soon we could have up to four internet stations:

Stafford Radio

Super Radio Nova

Stafford FM

and possibly Hospital Radio

Thanks for the interest Jay, in fact things are developing pretty well. After months of discussions we’ve agreed a deal for a superb location which fellow forumites hopefully will be proud.

We’re currently racing to construct the Stafford Radio studio and it’s all hands on deck. Quite soon we’ll need a few more hands to help push our ideas forward, so if anyone wants to get involved, please pm.

And, in a couple of weeks, when we release further details, you can be sure that Stafford Forum will be first for breaking news on Stafford Radio.

Thanks again for your interest, patience and please keep watching this space !

Ah! Got confused there, walked past your place on Friday after a few jars of apples so wasn't 100% sure.

Thanks MarkyD, that’s much appreciated ! Stafford’s going to be pretty busy on the radio scene.

I looked at your studio photos, very impressive. Is that you cutting the plasterboard ?!

I’m delighted to announce to fellow forumites that Stafford Radio will operate from Broad Eye Windmill, working in partnership with Broad Eye Windmill (Stafford) Ltd. to assist in fundraising for the continued restoration of this iconic building.

We are extremely grateful to have been given the opportunity to use such a wonderful location and hope our efforts over the coming months will generate renewed interest in the Mill, it’s history and the heritage of Stafford.

Our project is currently a small one. We will initially broadcast online and only on Sundays. But this will grow in the future. Hopefully, as we nurture the station and tweak to match listeners’ aspirations we will become a beacon to all that is great in Stafford, if not in Staffordshire.

Our first broadcast will be this coming Sunday from 10 a.m. to midnight, it might not be perfect (!)- but it will definitely be fun, after all we are “your feelgood station”. Please tune in through the website at www.staffordradio.com

Many thanks, and happy listening !

Excellent! As you say, the windmill is an iconic part of Stafford, so to hear that you are working in conjunction with those who maintain it in order to keep it at its best is great news.

Best of luck with it all. :D

The Windmill, that's cool! I always wondered what it was like in there. Good luck anyway.
