Best season in 10
Yep it certainly was! Boro' are cooking on gas, again! Respectable league position, in my opinion; some fantastic away performances against teams who finishing above us. Marvellous away support. If only the home form had matched the away results we would have been competing at the the top end of the table, and competing or promotion! Better home performances would have seen better home crowds, and attracted some of the towns growing swell of newcomers. The pitch is currently having improvements carried out leveling, re-seeding, and irrigation. Am really looking forward to August, which ever league we end up in. Next season will not be about keeping fingers crossed for avoiding the drop, The management are stopping along with a lot of the players, with some canny additions we should be fighting it out for promotion to National League North!

Bring it on! Up The Boro'! :football: :monkeydance:

A new season starts with a home game, with guaranteed great weather and the announcement that Rangers have just confirmed 6 new signings, 3 of whom have been with us a few weeks. Massanka, Clements and Kiwomya are surprise signings as they can comfortable perform at a higher level!

Just a fortnight ago Boro' fans not in the know (me!), were very unsure about the forthcoming season we had a a few gaps in the team, particularly up front! Six signings in the week prior to the first game, resolved perceived weaknesses and made the world a much brighter place, and the result has been fantastic. But if there is one thing Boro' fans have learnt the hard way, is one swallow doesn't make a summer! It's a great start; however 50 years a Rangers fan, I am only too aware how things can come back to bite you, but for now, we'll ride the wave as long as we can. :bravo:

The most positive will look at the table right now and dream!
The negative will look at it and think "only 44 more points and we are safe!"

I look at points targets and tick each one off as we progress. Personally, I'll hope for 45 by Christmas and that sees us virtually safe and you then set sail for around 70 for a play off place and stick another 20+ for winning it.
The important thing is hitting each target brings people through the gates or club doors and helps with financial survival and progress.

Wow! What an evening! I've regularly posted information on here in the hope of bringing the community into the club, rather than just talk about football. Well, tonight was one of those nights that could encourage many more people through the gates and doors!
A very tough game against a very good Marine team saw us matching them as we went toe to toe, only to go behind. We rallied, they went down to ten men and we fought back to win 2-1 with a 96th minute winner!
A crowd of 786 witnessed our second home win so just maybe many of them will be back for our next home game on Monday afternoon V Belper Town at 3pm? The win also puts us second in the table and we face the bottom 2 teams on Saturday and Monday.
Bums on seats at your local club can help them survive as much as thrive so why not come along and cheer on the Boro, have a drink in the club and check out the surroundings.
