Why so angry?

This is an open forum where everyone is entitled to express their opinion regardless of whether others share the same or similar opinions.

In my own view the only time to call people on their opinions is where they may cause harm to others (see Coronavirus thread for an example).

Until then live and let live and enrich your world experience by listening to what others have to say.

You are completely right, we dont learn unless we experience others opinions & experiences, nurture not nature, everyones opinon counts and helps us make good decisions....that post is just downright rude in my opinion.

LOL
How comical viewing the abuse Gilbert has suffered on this forum from the “clique“ who are simply not interested in any opinion except their own.
Bunch of hypocrites IMO who spend most of your time socially petting each other with your likes.

TBF there has been such an unremitting pile-on by so many contributors on here recently, and by recently i mean at least two years now, that this country/shire/town/parish is just irredeemably f**ked and/or plain shite, that some kick-back was almost inevitable.

Not personally a big fan of the 'if you don't like it, leave' brigade, but you can at least see where they are coming from.

When was the last time @kyoto49 said anything even remotely positive about Stafford? That wasn't about the recycling place? That's cool and all, but you can surely see how the constant bitching, and boy has there been some bitching, might push someone toward being a bit less than civil?

No problem, be dismissive, that's up to you and it also demonstrates the sort of person you are for any future messages on here. I thought initially that it was potentially a bad day and you were being rude and might regret it at a later date, like any adult, but no, it is who you are. Not a problem. Have a good day ant.

There is a planning application in at the council for conversion of the old sports direct to residential use. Application no 22/35882/FUL
If you would like to view this you can do so at the council offices of on line on the public access

Looks like they want to split it into 6 smaller shops and have 8 2/3 bedroom flats above it

I've asked this before, I think - did anybody spot the steelwork for the never-completed third storey being removed? It was there for decades, into the 90s, I think, then, one day, I noticed that it had gone. It won't have been a small job to remove it.

It's an ugly building. I would prefer it if it was pulled down and a building more in keeping with the high street was built there instead with shops on the ground floor and flats above.

Always in favour of more residential units in town centres.

It has been a fantastic 5 years but the University of Wolverhampton's Stafford Regional Learning Centre will sadly be closing it doors for the last time from tomorrow (22/09/2022). We would like to thank everyone for their support over the last few years. Thank you.
Great another empty building in the town centre .
