You mean Like the fabled Stafford Gateway Masterplan around the station?

Oh yeah, what’s happening with that now?

Quite a bit of Digbeth that's listed - e.g, the Woodman, the Anchor and the White Swan - so they'll have to make sure they don't flatten the wrong half.
And there're extending the tram to somewhere that's flattened.

I believe they’re flattening a bunch of locally listed buildings and keeping the nationally listed ones

When we were at Cannock outlet centre a few weeks ago, the 2nd biggest queue was families with kids outside of Nike shop, I assume to buy trainers because kids feet definitely haven't taken notice of the fact the government hasn't designated shoe shops essential shopping.

.

There was a massive queue outside Nike the first few times I went, snaking all the way round the corner. Not many of them had children with them.
The next time I went there were just 3 people in the queue.

I’d assumed that the long queue was when they’d had a new “drop”.
Apparently you can go on websites that give you the release dates of new trainers coming out and there are a certain group of people that just have to be the first to have them.

Enjoying a drop of red.

I'm like that with the Honda Africa Twin.

I went from Paris to Dakar once on a Boeing 707. Now that's apples and pears.

(PS ... the Suzy was faster than the Boeing up to a ton. Still is 31 years after I bought it.) :P :bum:

Looks like work has restarted on the old RBS , I wonder if it'll turn to a coffee shop as the old Stafford regenerated marketing shown?

Also, the whole of Riverside shopping area seems to be a free WiFi hotspot now.

Hope the muriel survives .

Someone's taken on the old peacock's, shall we place our bets now on what it'll be ?

Also the old Argos had finally been boarded up, think that's just to deter people from sleeping in the door though, rather than anyone actively doing anything with the site.

I saw plans a while ago which showed the entrance of BC being turned around so that it faces the County Council offices, as well as lots of other changes to improve the appearance of this ugly building. That included a coffee shop where RBS is now.

Fingers crossed.

Gotta spend the 14 million on something , haven't they, even though I'm sure they already had funds available for the work years ago...
