Looks like the old suit place next to the Bear might be being demolished, although, I haven't seen any indication of this work anywhere ?

The interior of the shop next to what was Laura Ashley is being worked on, with no clue about what it might be going to be, though.

It’s also the kind of place you’d usually see in far busier towns so I’m all up for anything that makes Stafford feel like it’s not totally dead. Hella expensive though, and an unusual place to put it as it definitely gives a more highstreet vibe (of course that requires a viable highstreet) - is that the old Browns Coffee Unit…?

Geek Retreat could be bad news for Too Fat Goblinz though… however does the old Peacocks unit actually have room for such a store? Those places usually need two floors (one shop one gaming) or one massive one to make sense, there’s a reason Shogun moved

Edit: alternatively maybe I’m just forgetting how big that unit actually is, looks like there’s a good 1000sqft hiding upstairs though

Really excited about Geek Retreat because it provides something different for Stafford and another leisure activity for young people and families, which Stafford badly lacks.

I used to love going to Joysticks when I was younger, this place feels like it's going to be very similar. I can see myself relieving my youth in this place.

Yeah the more I read up about the place the more intrigued I am.
