Stafford shops opening - Turning into a boom town?

The costa and subway on that site is always busy, it would be handy for all the folk working around there and a lot of passing trade

The biggest problem with KFC I find isn’t the food itself: it’s that the staff always seem to be in a shambles, I’ve had unmixed Krushems, missing food, people not sure what they’re doing, etc.

That being said, complaining about the roads there seems a touch ironic considering it’s the Chelsea Tractors picking up the kids to run them 2 minutes up the road causes the majority of the traffic at that time of day…

Not sure how I feel about businesses not being approved because parents can’t teach their kids not to each like shit either. What school kid has enough money left in their pocket to buy KFC anyway? That stuff’s expensive… they could buy a dip with what I usually had left after lunch.

Oh Gawd, I love a KFC! I don't care if everyone thinks they're shite, they probably are, but I really love the stuff. Bit naffed off this week, they've had hardly anything on the menu, unless you want a mahoosive bucket. I just want a Zinger stacker meal, nothing else. (I probably want sectioning too, but that's another thread!)

I used to really like KFC in my previous life when I was out and about a lot and even until quite recently from time to time. But the Stafford one has really put me off to be honest. Last time I went in, pre lockdown, it was disgusting and I've read nothing since that makes me want to give it another go.

Personally, I preferred the short lived version when it was on Foregate st. Staff were nice, place was clean and food was lovely. I know the one on the Lichfield rd isn't that good. Neither of us really like McDonalds, sick to the back teeth of pizza and last time I had a take out curry (Simply Bilash) me and the other half at the time, had the squits like I don't know.

I love a KFC (my son isn't keen on the coating and @Goldilox can only have a Vegan burger) but it's across the road from us so it's a very occasional lunchtime treat. I'm not sure I've ever had a bad one from Lichfield rd.

I use one in Crewe regularly and it's great, food always good and fresh and the staff friendly and competent. Stafford though, takes several times longer to get anything and it somehow always seems poorer quality?

It's amazing just how places like KFC survive in Stafford seeing as it appears that everyone on this forum dislikes them so much.

We went to KFC last week and had a lovely experience. They had a staff member "walking the floor" and making sure everyone was ok. Best visit there in a very long time

Sounds more positive, hopefully they can keep that up.

Went to the designer outlet in Cannock earlier with the intention of popping into Wagamama for a spot of luck but the queues for a table were just silly. So on the way home stopped at Hednesford KFC for a takeaway that I snaffled at home, purely in the interests of consumer research, you understand. It was nice and made a pleasant change.

Spent the rest of the afternoon walking it off with the dogs on the Chase.

I can't prove this, I don't have the figures to hand but I would say that the 20 or so regular posters on here, are not the entire population of Stafford. I stress though, I don't have a source to back this up.
Just shows that at least 20 or so Staffordians have a bit of taste then 😂
