Avoided it today but one of my team went in at 7pm and came out at 8pm with food

I think I’ll give it a few days for them to sort their teething issues and the chaos to die down.

Those cinnamon twists are lovely as a little snack though

It's about as Mexican as Domino's is Italian! chain fast food junk that bares no resemblance to authentic Mexican food.
In America, Taco Bell is so low down on the list for fast food choice….it’s where you go when you’re broke or when you want to loose large amounts of body weight very rapidly.

Luckily, for more reasons than you state above, we're not in America....

I think you will find that Taco Bell is the height of haute cuisine according to the film 'Demolition Man'... 😆

Not local but there's a cracking Mexican restaurant in Looe Cornwall.

Bottom line is that the majority of British people are pretty mainstream when it comes to Mexican food, if something "really" authentic opened then I expect people would likely complain!!

Went to Taco bell for lunch and it was really busy. Barely any parking spaces in the small car park and the lack of a drive through is probably a big reason why it was so busy inside....

Must say on my visits to Mexico I found most of their food dire.
I vaguely remember a Spike Milligan (possibly*) joke about all the dogs in Mexico limping, because, every time people ate something, they were so disgusted that they kicked the dog.

But, Google has (not actually, in the end) failed me...

*Edit - It was Ronnie Barker in Porridge.
  • Norman Stanley Fletcher : [Urwin has taken a hostage and says he might go to Mexico] Funny people, Mexicans, y'know, they're very sort of... well, Mexican, I suppose would describe 'em. All the dogs limp there, y'know.
    Mrs. Jamieson : I didn't know that.
Norman Stanley Fletcher : Oh, yes, well known. Yeah. It's to do with the food... A man wakes up in the mornin', he thinks about his horrible breakfast, and he kicks the dog, see.
Reg Urwin : Really? Well, I'd always fancied Mexico.
Norman Stanley Fletcher : Oh yeah? Well, contrary to popular travel brochure myth, they're not a happy people, y'know, the Mexicans. I suppose anyone that has tequila as their national drink is bent on self-destruction, e'nt they?
