All of which appeared after the: 'Go out and kill a mammoth with a pointed stick for dinner' caving days. :P

My thought as soon as he said it . Was wondering if he'd done his research into how many other similar shops there are in the area , and how long it would be before he's possibly appearing in the 'Stafford shops closing' thread with a bit more competition than he seems to be expecting.
As it's all in the going ahead process , I didn't like to spoil his enthusiam so kept my mouth shut....

Seeing as they have a lot to do with the sports scene , I was expecting him to say it was going to be a sportswear outlet or something at first....the thoughts of a nice sporty type department store complex in the old Co-op building sprung to mind, but not to be! 😂
It really is odd… opening an identical shop in a saturated area is What Not to Do in Business 101. But yet people do it, how do they keep afloat?

Maybe they have a “special” menu you can order from?

The shop he's already got in Worcester (don't know if it's a vape shop or something else) has some Japanese merchandise in it apparently as well , so might well have a 'special ' menu as well .... :D

Might have been able to understand the chap telling me all this better if I'd had a few less Aspalls 😂 (I struggle to understand the local 'Posh west country twang' around here even before a few bevvies )

Sooner the place is empty the better, so they will have to make a start on their masterplan, (what ever the hell that is)
Walked through earlier, very cold in there, they must have turned the heating off. Wonder how long before the lights are switched off.

Still baffles me they dodged an investigation from the health and safety executive after that sheet of glass from the roof fell in. If it was in the middle of the day instead of night it'd have easily killed someone.

I’m sure this is terribly interesting

But could one provide correct directions

Avoiding commercial interests

The above is simply mumbo jumbo

Blimey

That landlord is blessed with idiots

Talking of which

How many market stalls remain with the market under the empty deserted desolate run down multi storey car park?

Opposite the urinals

I’m in public relations don’t you know
Well, I know some of the lovely market traders I there...the ones I frequent are (Melcombe, I think) Bags, keys, widows purses....he keeps me I an endless supply of holdalls that my cats like to pee in, so I have to replace regularly....if you ask he can find you almost anything you want with8n a few days.......

The lovely couple with the homeward store, along with Malcom I speak to them most market says, excellent purveyors of normal (not fancy) can openers.

Cats protection.......home made cat nip filled mouses that my cats go mad over....

Marc LeMoine butchers, the carers say it's the best dripping he's ever had.

Sewing stall...everything you could ever want if you sew...I probably only use them once a year but they are invaluable.

Please don't give up on the market....there are things there that you dont realise you want!

I can remember a time when there was at least 6, possibly 7 fruit and veg stalls in the market, roughly the same for butchers. I'd go in twice a week for stuff. There was 1 butcher, he had the corner stall at the right hand back of the building, did the best smokey bacon ever. Was it Gerry or Jerry Billington, had 2 fruit n veg stalls in there. You got to know them all. Last time I went it, the place was die-ing on its arse.
