Isn't that the Macro cafe that's moving with the gym?It would appear a new cafe opening opposite Neros too?
Tbh , that might actually do better for them there than the Guildhall.Isn't that the Macro cafe that's moving with the gym?
It was MKOne, or Mark One, ladies clothesTbh , that might actually do better for them there than the Guildhall.
Doesn't look like the gym's taking on the old Bright House bit though, just everything around it.
Anyone remember what it was before Bright House ? I remember New Look was next door, but just can't remember if there was something there before Bright House.
Oh, 'I'd forgotten about Gamestation
I was surprised that Bright House didn't pre-date Street View, I only looked on the off-chance.Oh, 'I'd forgotten about Gamestation
Gamestation were always cheaper than Game and gave more in part-exchange. It's a shame Game bought them out instead of the other way round.Oh, 'I'd forgotten about Gamestation
Well as you were standing there for an hour watching the pigeon it may have helped pass the time ?I was surprised that Bright House didn't pre-date Street View, I only looked on the off-chance.
My (only) favourite thing about Bright House was the pigeon who used to nip in and have them chasing him round the shop for an hour at a time.
I did once overhear a comment from one window-shopper to another - "Ooh, I do like that settee, apart from the shape and the colour."
I nearly asked for an explanation, but, just in time, I realised that I wouldn't understand it.
I did watch it for quite a while - and it was still going on when I came back for my bike about an hour later.Well as you were standing there for an hour watching the pigeon it may have helped pass the time ?
In a previous life* I was slightly involved in trying to get an esport arena situated in the sports direct in Hanley via Belong arenas and Sports directGame has since been bought out anyway, it's now owned by Mike Ashley / the Sports Direct group.
In time it'll probably go and be absorbed into their department stores or a corner in Sports Direct.
An eSports arena in Stoke is on the table still, I believe. Focus is on that new gaming centre right now though, and of course it’s city council stuff so takes a decade to get going anyway. In a previous life* I was slightly involved in trying to get an esport arena situated in the sports direct in Hanley via Belong arenas and Sports direct
I was also on the fringes of discussions for an esports arena in Stafford, but my guess is that's dead in the water these days.
* this time last year, but that seems like such a long time ago.
Ah the days when you could leave a bike for an hour and it would still be there when you returnedwhen I came back for my bike about an hour later.
.
Ah the days when you could leave a bike for an hour and it would still be there when you returned never existed.
Never knew that. No surprise Game looks like it needs an overhaul if Ashley owns them. He buys things and leaves them to age badly without any investment.Game has since been bought out anyway, it's now owned by Mike Ashley / the Sports Direct group.
