Stafford shops opening - Turning into a boom town?

Oh great somewhere else that aint gonna sell chips
Since they are modifying their existing social media (as opposed to starting from scratch) I would wait for new menus to be published and not rely on old posts / photos. Those menu posts are from July 2020

Last time I ate at the bankhouse I had a route 66 burger and I'm sure I had chips (but that was last)

Excited to see a new venture, good luck to them.

Looks as though Home Bargains are planning to open a new store in Queens Retail Park (Units 1b-1d), whilst retaining their existing stores at the Hough and Hunters Row.
I love home bargains but the Hough and Queens feel a bit close together. But with new estates around the Hough maybe not. We use the Hough one like a very well stocked corner shop.

I did visit a huge HB on holiday in Waymouth - it was quite exciting (if you like bargain shops as much as I do)

Spouting nonsense since the day I learned to talk
I went to Venture Park in Tamworth yesterday - Home Bargains have taken over part of the old John Lewis Home store. Don't know what it is like as I didn't go in but they had a big sign outside saying there was a garden centre section inside. Thought I would mention it for Home Bargain fans.

Lidl (or Aldi, can't remember which) have got the other part of the store.

Seems an odd thing to do but if correct I'll stand by their clearly better judgement when it comes to retail operations. Maybe they'll pool staff between the 2 retail parks...

Lobbying for more accommodation to come to the town centre... Not sure if the objection holds much merit, someone moaning about it'll potentially hurt his loading bay / bin store, and may get noise into his office, surely his / her shop or bar generates more noise...

"If the application is approved six bedrooms would be created, alongside a communal kitchen and shared bathroom facilities."

Sorry but that doesn't come across as the kind of accommodation the town should be aspiring for. Sounds something similar to what I had in first year of hall of residence at uni 25+ years ago...

That’s exactly what a HMO is

£900/month for a 4-bed sensibly sized? Nah. £1600/month for a shitty shared 6-bed in the same space
