Rumbelows, Woolworths & Tandy.
Home bargains are definatly opening a 3rd store there.....

Rumor has it that also B&Q and other stores are moving from the Hough to Queenaville, but its just rumor that the Hough has been sold for housing (barring the car show room which is becoming a bed shop, and KFC, Taco Bell & the hotel), this is only rumor though.

B&Q and the other stores were only built fifteen years ago.

I didn't suggest that it wasn't a rumour.
And was just thinking that maybe too many shops have been built or much has changed in recent years.
It was reason enough for The Carer (my husband) to take redundancy 2 weeks ago from the company he worked for at the Hough when offered..... Footfall is at an absolute low there right now & he doesn't see it picking up if we go into recession.

I can't see b&q moving to queens retail park as there's nothing there big enough to accommodate it....

There was a rumour going around on a Facebook group a month ago about the hough being made into housing. I can't see it happening myself, but then again what do I know

Us neither (although they used to be there, and there's 2 free units next to each other that could be knocked together) , but given how things were it was the best option to take redundancy, footfall & buying has fallen drastically & where your in a job that pays a lot of commission there's no point staying & flogging a dead horse. Everyone whose worked in sales has that epifany at some time when it's just not worth it any more (I had it years ago) ....
