Strangely, I was talking to Johnny Cambridge only this morning about the fact that I hadn't seen Ron for a week or two - and he hadn't either. According to Harold, when confronted about his potential demise Ron said 'Anyway, I'm not 85, I'm 88!'

Remember Windsor Davies on the borer and then inspection ( or whatever is real name was (Tony Henderson?)? He was JC's son-in-law for a while. He went to Dormans, but I haven't seen him for ages..

I saw Ray Weatherer a few weeks ago and I see Phil the Fork quite often - and Taffy this morning, being dragged round Lidl..

Just bumped into Brian Jackson in the town - the poor chap is burying his son tomorrow.
Thats sad. I haven't seen Brian for ages. Top Bloke and had a lot of respect for him as my first ever GEC boss. He must be into his 80's now.

True. One of the few people who never had a 'work name' - or any enemies..

He still looks exactly the same as whenever you last saw him, lives in Eccleshall now..

Remind me next time round and I'll get you one.

So that's - Note to self, one calendar via GG courtesy of AFS, January 2011!

I've just been to see somebody in the Acute Medical Unit and found Denis Cope lounging in the bed opposite, and I do have to say that he really did look like he was malingering...

I used to start hassling him in October and I believe that John Durkin actually possesses a full set from first publication...

Thats a shame about Dennis. Nice bloke, I'll tell my Dad.

I have a direct line to AFS and he still gets copies issued tound the office, bless him! Not many possess the skill to write like that any more.

I think he may have just sneaked in for a kip. He only lives a couple of hundred yards away. He really did look quite fit to me and had only been there since this morning..

I wasn't sure if it was one 'n' or two, so I economised.

Another note - Pat Shaw was recently forced to retire on health grounds. She had soldiered on past her retirement by two years but recently had suffered with mobility. She's undergone various tests and we are hoping it isn't MND but something that could be corrected.

I did bump into Pat in the town a couple of days ago, but failed to report it. She was my source of calendars in recent years, but I'll let her off now.

Dennis should be due for release today, if all goes well. It is two 'n's - something which he is very insistent about. He had added a second one to the name that the authorities had written over his bed....

Of course, I also see Print Room Shirley most days, but didn't really associate her as a 'sighting'..

John Leah was at the boot sale yesterday - I'm still using my supply of his Café Creme tins. Phil the Fork also attended. And Mrs Butch was there, as well, but she had left him at home and claims to have finally removed all of the last vestiges his autonomy..

Dixie Dean was standing dutifully in the Square this morning, awaiting instructions (from Mavis, who used to let me off my library fines)..

..which turned out to be 'Get some eggs from Greengate Deli' - apparently they're very good, and I intend to try them when my current supply exhausts.
