I remember spending a Monday morning hunting for a rotting corpse - the poor blackbird had died after getting stuck behind a radiator and had had all weekend to 'brew'...

..and the mouse that died in the pocket of BNL's white coat..

I remember being asked to clean out the heating ducts (in the dead of night)
of dead mice in the old medical block by the foundry, they built a new one
shortly after, opposite the cricket ground and turned the old med into a giant fridge.

Dead of night in the Medical Block...?

No videos involved?

This was before mobile phones became generic, and I think they wanted to keep
it quiet about the infestation and the smell, I had a few queasy
moments while working, even with vic under my nose!

Usually find him in the Butler's Bell, if you have any more mice to shift...

Does he still smell of menthol when he's not under my nose?

Sad news.

'Print Room' Shirley is no longer with us. A great shock to hear of this, as she hardly seemed to change at all over the decades.

Funeral is at the Crematorium on Monday, February 8th at 2:30pm.

Terry is, of course, Dennis Cope's young lad, and we must expect therefore expect all things to be maintained to a high standard.

Can anyone recommend anywhere that will shorten curtains?

2 pairs 90" x 90"
1 pair 66" x 54

they need about 6" off the length

S
Frank Beardmore once confessed to me that he had insisted on doing the measuring for a set of really expensive velvet curtains that his wife wanted, as he didn't trust the woman who came to the house to measure the giant picture window that they were intended for - and he ended up with a foot of curtain lying on the carpet....

...and some egg on his face...

Bi-annual piss-up in the Luck Penny next Friday, the 14th, at 8pm onwards.

Bring sufficient cash for all you intend to drink, and leaving enough spare for bail money.
