I think we probably ought to start a specific thread now. Even basil has almost complained about derailing the Castle Works one.

Started my working life at GEC Switchgear Hixon many moons ago and left when they shut the place down.

Another new company name?
"GEC Alstonholme Switch Gear "

:/
There used to be a great variety of spellings, but that is a new one on me.
Us at Hixon were once known as GEC Alsthom T&D Balteau...

Always knew he'd get into food! Wonder if they've worked out what he's saying down there yet? Inteet, dunteet!
My reference to the company name earlier was picked up from Cyril's profile on the link, by the way.

LOL what about Mr Wain

and the rest of your quiz team?

He seems to be an internet vampire - so far.
Now, this is truly bizarre. An image search for 'steve wain switchgear' brought this up - for no apparent reason. I once issued the drawings for the A-40 Flying Tank on an RDM, just for laugh. It never arrived. This is getting spooky.

Recent sightings:-

Ron Key, obviously - he had Bill Rawlinson pinned to the wall by the Bear - when I say 'the Bear' I mean the pub, obviously, the last time I saw The Bear he was fixing the freezers in Sainsbury's.

John Cambridge is to found gliding round the town on occasions.

Bob Gee - no doubt others see him at the Rangers all the time.

Pezzer - I'm saying no more about that..

Billy Hutch's lad was seen having bodily fluids removed a couple of weeks ago.
