And wasting time reporting pot holes for them to then routinely ignore for months and months and months isn't one of ours. There are some huge pot holes on the Beacnside road that have been there the whole summer, as you turn left at the lights from the Sandon Road. The ones outside the pharmacy on the Wolverhampton Road by the lights were there for years, massive craters, feck all was done. Even now its like the surface of the moon at those lights. I'm personally not prepared to tolerate utter shite service.Whatever you do or don't think the highways department can / should do, I'm sure we can all agree that being psychic isn't one of ther duties.
The lights at Wolverhampton are horrendous, I’ve never seen a major road look that badAnd wasting time reporting pot holes for them to then routinely ignore for months and months and months isn't one of ours. With funding cuts and the certain knowledge that it'd be damaged again within a few months our council might have decided not to replace it.How long does it take to install a new metal barrier along Baswich lane? been like that for weeks now.
There's a decades long tradition of drivers being totally unable to cope with that bridge. It is wide enough for two cars to pass but not a car and Transit or other car pulling a trailer. How long does it take to install a new metal barrier along Baswich lane? been like that for weeks now.

I never said that's what happened did I?That's not what happened though. Some person drove down there too fast and went straight through the barrier and into the water. That used to be my commute and you'd quite regularly see damage to the fence and hedge along the side of the crematorium. It's late night yobs driving in their modded cars too fast.
The road is a major route from Baswich to the tech park and other places of work and the road should be improved.
Has anybody in Stafford ever said that before?I simply said that the traffic lights have been an improvement.
Almost certainly not. But in this instance it would definately be of benefit.Has anybody in Stafford ever said that before?
In that case, I will not advocate replacing the lights with a mini-roundabout.Almost certainly not. But in this instance it would definately be of benefit.
Only been queues of 5 or 6 cars whenever I've been down there. The whole business of crossing that bridge had been far less stressful. But if as you say the queues have been that long at times then clearly lights are not the answer. The traffic lights have not been an improvement. Queues back up the shops on Farmdown Road at times, queues regularly 15-20 cars long, people getting frustrated with the delays and going through the lights on red causing even longer queues.
If people just drove normally round the lane then there wouldn’t be a problem.
As for the barrier repairs… Highways are probably waiting for the insurance companies to pay out on the claim - just like they did when the middle stone bridge was hit twice.
Also, the road will most likely need to be closed to affect the repair. This takes at least 3 months from applying for a closure to get permission.
