Free permits for residents ?.......................................................................hmm perhaps not
Nah, be 50 quid a year + 50 for set up, like ours in Castletown. And good luck to them trying to renew, takes them months to get round to doing that job. Meanwhile you've had to either pay on Sainsburys or hopefully get on the only bit of rough ground there is round here.

Yet another set of temporary traffic lights on the Newport Road. This time between Rowley Avenue and Kingsway Roundabout. I'd avoid the area if you possibly can. Frankly if you're coming from the Newport direction to spend some money in Stafford. Don't bother. Go spend it in Newport or Telford instead.
Dunno what they were for but it certainly wasn’t to fix the fecking potholes leading upto & over the bridge.

Enjoying a drop of red.
Chaos on the A34 going into and out of town again due to yet more temporary traffic lights on Radford Bank.

Fear not though, there only here for the rest of the week.

Again...

Very much permanently. No entry sign at the bridge as you drive down school lane
It appears that it is one way from just after the entrance to the Post Office club to the other side of the bridge by Gravel Lane - 150 yards approximately. There are also road humps before the PO entrance to just by The Brandons. It seems like there are some up School Lane as well. If you live in Rickerscote it is now entry only via Silkmore Lane/Rickerscote Road.

It's a route which I use regularly when visiting a supplier. Now I can only use it one way.

If the traffic 'gods' in SCC wanted to discourage people to stop using a road they can legally use, then the road humps would have been enough. The Gravel Lane humps had already cut usage from my own (non-scientific) observations. Making it one way only over the bridge is just ridiculous.

Another stupid decision made without consultation. Forces additional journeys along Moss Pit and more queuing traffic at the lights. Absolute zero reason for it.

Actually came here to say temporary lights being set up on Radford Bank earlier on behalf of Openreach. Beyond the pub as you head up the hill.

i think the footbridge is closed as it's unsafe. So probably adding a footpath on the road bridge and making one-way for safety. Also the speed bumps and 20mph limit
