Saw another cyclist on the pavement instead of the new cycle path on chell road yesterday. Think I've only seen one cyclist use it correctly, the half dozen on the road or pavement.

I really hate the way the powers that be did the layout of Chell Road. Driving down it yesterday, there was a bus parked outside Sainsburys and everyone and his neighbour was passing it, causing me to drive in the bus lane opposite. My right of way yet no-one was bothered!

Were you in a hurry then, Glam ?
And it's perhaps important to remember that the Highway Code does not give you the right of way in any circumstance, but it advises you when you should give way to others. Remember that having "right of way" means you have the legal right to go first across a road, but it's important to always be cautious and considerate of other road users.
Last week I had three nights in the Chichester Inn and my room overlooked a new Dutch roundabout, one that quite sensibly shifts the right of way from motorists to cyclists and pedestrians.

For reason I'm not aware of Lichfield Road is closed both ways from the Vets to the junction of the Hough retail park opposite the burger king....

Stone Road in Stafford to close March 3rd for something or other for some time or other by some body or other, probability of unplanned motorway closures rises existentially unilaterally and McDonaldaily

Some impressive mental gymnastics by the workmen near Aldi today, merging the two lanes from Asda and then letting people turn left into Kingsmead anyway….

Maybe just keep the left lane open and merge it after?

What’s the leaugh with regard to cars that make extremely loud childish growling and gunshot noises?

There’s one lonely person driving around Stafford in a vehicle who’s owner missed out on a scalextric as a child and is now over compensating for it

( I never mentioned size of anything )

There's several! Seems the majority of them drive up and down the Doxey Road every hour of every day. I can't spell the fancy names, nd can't be arsed google them. The Lambergeenies and Mazzerarties etc are noisy, but what pass here are Golfs and a couple of Seat thingies.

Didn’t know where to put this.
It’s bit “Stafford traffic“ and a bit “Holiday 2025”

Anyway, we were recently in Doha then we were also recently in Stafford, specifically driving down Radford Bank when I made a comparison.

I said to my husband that practically the whole of Doha was transformed from a desert to a metropolis in just 20 years yet in Stafford they take nearly a whole year to repair a stretch of road.

Photo of a little bit of Doha for comparison.

The road works on the A465 in South wales are due to end this year - after 23 years of continuous disruption.

I send my councillor here on the western island things about what goes on in Stafford and he finds it truly amazing...
