Stafford Traffic.

Didn’t know where to put this.
It’s bit “Stafford traffic“ and a bit “Holiday 2025”

Anyway, we were recently in Doha then we were also recently in Stafford, specifically driving down Radford Bank when I made a comparison.

I said to my husband that practically the whole of Doha was transformed from a desert to a metropolis in just 20 years yet in Stafford they take nearly a whole year to repair a stretch of road.

Photo of a little bit of Doha for comparison.

It’s a lot easier to build things when you have a history of modern slavery and poor working conditions.

But also yes, it doesn’t take 9 people to fill pot holes… except apparently it does (5 at the hole, 3 standing nearby and 1 by the van) when it’s next to Kingsmead

Stone Road in Stafford to close March 3rd for something or other for some time or other by some body or other, probability of unplanned motorway closures rises existentially unilaterally and McDonaldaily
I don't know why but all the signs about the stone road closure have gone, I assume they are taking too long doing the odd bits they are sometimes doing and aren't ready for the closure yet.

Could we get Trump to open negotiations with Stafford Council to Stop the Roadworks ?
Maybe but why not get sleepy joe instead (odds on your preferred choice instead), yes Trump is at times a Buffon but at least you know who the Buffon is unlike when sleepy Joe “tries” to say anything And it is anyone’s guess who is pulling his strings.
Yes I know you will dismiss that out of hand as it does not fit into your “fears” ?
BTW do not forget to check under your bed tonight as a Russkie ………. You never know !

I remember Greenpeace blockading a nuclear convoy, in Stafford, many years ago.

Just looked it up, it was March 1995.

3way traffic lights on the roundabout at the bottom of tenterbanks. Couldn't see any actual work though. Queues everywhere.

They'd excavated a trench in the footpath and were repairing electricity cables when I walked past the other day.

All traffic lights gone last night.

Anyone know what they're doing with the treatment in the Tech Park? I assume they won't be closing off an entire business park...

Watching it going on now... I really don't understand why they needed to resurface the tech park ring road, it's absolutely fine.

Now we get to enjoy stones in the tyres for the next however long.

Maybe it's because Stafford has no other roads that might benefit significantly from a resurfacing operation?
