When isn't it?Traffic down Radford Bank is chokka at the moment.
It was like that yesterday as well.Lots of lorries and coaches going past Asda and down Lichfield Rd northbound as I've just walked back from town. Some lanes on the roads around Kwif-fit island are closed off all the way around , causing the heavier traffic even more queuing . Not a workman or any road works in sight both times I walked past this morning , just plonked the barriers there.

Nuclear transport, regular occurence.Yesterday lunchtime I got held up as all traffic was stopped on Beaconside whilst a convoy of about 6-8 of these police vehicles interleaved with army artics and police range rovers passed some with their blue lights on.
No idea what they carrying or what the police lorries are for but they were kind of heading east.

It appears they have been installing crash barriers.Workman are out there now repairing and tidying the pavement, that for some reason goes round the inside of The Island roundabout.
Some of the holes appear to have been patched up. Some.St. Thomas Lane between Baswich Lane and Tixall Road is finally open. It’s only taken a week after Severn Trent finished working on it for them to reopen it.
if they repainted the road markings you probably wouldn't need the barriersIt appears they have been installing crash barriers.
I remember Greenpeace blockading a nuclear convoy, in Stafford, many years ago.Nuclear transport, regular occurence.
