Well the way the housing development on the A34 is going it won't be too long before it's joined up with Stoke (God forbid) 😂😂😂
I knew someone who was born in Queensville and would sometimes go to Stafford, which meant her going over the railway, to where the town started.

And people even slightly older than @BobClay would refer to Littleworth as The Village.

I think I've seen "Creswell Gateway to Stafford" signs.
If our County Council had a bit more money to waste they might erect them for Moss Pit and Wildwood.
I think the correct terminology is Moss Pit and Wildwood the exit from Stafford 😂😂😂😂😂

The water leak in Newport Road, Stafford

A Stafford road is to remain shut for days after a water pipe burst this morning. Newport Road, in Stafford, is closed in both directions due to the ongoing incident between West Way and Montville Drive.

Severn Trent was first called in to fix the broken pipe at around 09.30am today. Properties in the ST16, ST17 and ST18 areas of Stafford were experiencing supply interruptions.

Its teams have remained on site and Severn Trent says residents should now start to see their water pressure slowly returning to normal. Severn Trent has also thanked customers for their patience.

A spokesman said: "You should start to see your water pressure slowly returning back to normal. We are moving water around our network to keep our customers on supply during these repairs.

"Your water may look slightly different than usual. This discolouration is nothing to worry about and will disappear overtime. We'd like to thank you for your patience while this is ongoing."

Staffordshire County Council says the road closure is expected to remain in place until 4pm on Monday (August 22) while repairs continue.

Dunno if the m6 is bad again but traffic backed up all along the Eccleshall Road. I have no idea why these drivers can't leave space for anyone who needs to go down one of the side roads. Just because there isn't a box and you are in stationary traffic doesn't mean you need to be an inconsiderate arsehole and block the entry and exit for other road users 👹

Southbound from J14 looks blocked - that means that drivers from the link road will be blocking the exit from Eccleshall Road, in case they let somebody out, even if they're not going south...

Enjoying a drop of red.

To be fair to them, even if there was a yellow box they'd still block the junctions.
