Another horrible car crash on the Eccleshall Road. When is something going to be done. All the Tories locally are interested in is building more roads but never in policing the existing ones. The policeman I spoke with said it was up to the council to police roads. Seems a bit arse about face but for the love of god do something people with power :(

I remember, when the limit was dropped in Creswell to 30mph, the Police said they had disagreed with it and wouldn't enforce it.

Drove past that at about 5.45. That Mini must have been going at considerable speed. Must admit I avoid the Eccleshall Road as much as possible because driving down it at the speed limit is quite an intimidating experience.

The roadworks on the A34 due to the new roundabout being built for Pets at Home, is causing havoc in the morning. This is due to a lane closed southbound after the the Redhill Business Park junction and the immensely long time the traffic lights are on red for no crossing vehicles. Unsure why a lane is closed, there was a digger excavating a hole on the right hand grass verge this morning - but it's causing queues all the way back to Whitgreave Lane some mornings. All they need to do is to leave the lights in green for longer and open both lanes up after Redhill junction.

Whilst queueing, I quite enjoy counting how many bollards separating the north and southbound traffic have been knocked over each day. It's like playing Tenpin Bowling - with cars!!

Temporary lights stuck on red both ways on Gaol road next to the prison. Work carried on digging the hole in the road at the time. Workers now gone, and left the lights stuck on red.

What did you do in this situation?
- Sit & wait
- Flash your lights & sound your horn
- Get out & investigate
- Gesticulate
- Drive through on red & hope the driver at the other end doesn't do the same

You missed the real drama

Hay truck was behind you

Gary Glitter leapt over the wall , landed in the middle of it , almost lost his wig
