Redrum says - Remember it's the Stafford Walking Street scavenger hunt this evening. We will be open from 6 pm until midnight and we've got some great acoustic acts in the bar for your enjoyment and free pool all night. Not quite sure how the pub scavenger hunt will work because I have been told that it includes Redrum but I don't think they open today or if they do everyone else from the Walking Street will probably have already left.
Hopefully the rain will clear for the event as well.

Remember to pick up a scavenger hunt card from the Stafford FM stage and grab a drink in Redrum to be able to complete your card.
Ah ok I stand corrected. It's good to see the Walking Street extending out more from the Market Square.
Hopefully it will continue next year and extend to the majority of the town centre, wherever that is nowadays.

Walking street "rent" part of the square so they can/must have security within the defined area, conditions within the licensing arrangement perhaps.Ended up at the Walking Street last night (well the outside tables at No.3 really).
Seemed to be well attended but it was disappointing to see the jobsworth security stopping a homeless guy, who was having a good old dance along, from entering the square.
I've seen the guy around town a few times and whilst he likes his drink I've never seen him cause any trouble.
When I questioned the security staff about why they were stopping him they explained he had got into a fight with another homeless guy at a previous event.
Surely this event should be open to all and security should only intervene if you cause any trouble at the time not hold grudges for past misdemeanors.
When we questioned why he wasn't allowed to walk into a public area we were told that it was a licensed event and therefore they could stop whoever they didn't like. Can this be correct?
