Calling Staffordshire Artists – recruiting now for 2013!

As a professional or semi-professional artist living and/or working in Staffordshire we want to be able to help you in raising the awareness of your considerable creative talents. Destination Staffordshire, the County’s foremost marketing organisation, realises the unique and significant contribution you make in attracting visitors to the region and in return we want to showcase your work on a regular basis. Having evolved from the original Staffordshire Open Studios format, the larger Staffordshire Enjoy Art initiative now works to your advantage all year round.

So if you are a local artist, this is your chance to enjoy county-wide promotion in various Destination Staffordshire publications including the County’s main Visitor Guide and the ‘Out & About’ newspaper. We also publish our own Staffordshire Enjoy Art brochure which is available through Tourist Information Centres and other popular outlets. You will have 24/7 access to your own page on the Staffordshire Enjoy Art website where you can promote your own events via our online calendar. AND you can benefit from PR via our regular social networking on Twitter and Facebook.

A significant NEW DEVELOPMENT FOR 2013 is the introduction of our ‘Staffordshire Enjoy Art Exhibition Series’ which will see us showcasing your work to the public throughout the year. We will start with a two week exhibition in the Mansion House at Shugborough over Easter, followed by a fortnight’s show at Barewall Gallery in July, before rounding the year off at the Museum of Cannock Chase for eight weeks from mid-October. We also have a permanent display in Stafford’s Shire Hall Gallery where you will be eligible for discounted entry into the ‘Staffordshire Open Art’ competition.

All of this is included in your annual membership fee of just £100. Membership to the County’s principle art group is a cost effective way to joining a large creative community which benefits from direct links to the region’s tourism industry. Sign-up for membership during January 2013 to be included in our new brochure: http://www.staffordshireenjoyart.com
