As mentioned in a previous post I had the mixed grill in the Bear. That was excellent. Massive onion rings!!!!!!

Its our regular guilty pleasure and it doesnt break the bank , mind you half a bottle of wine on a school night makes for a sluggish Thursday morning

I had an unusually free Wednesday night this week so we were able to give this a try last night. It was great. Nice food, nice wine, nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend it. Such a shame I'm not usually free on Wednesdays

Good work ChrisLewis!

I'm a massive fan of everything Lewis Partnership so, yes, keep up the good work.

I'll be in to taste the steak, in that there is no doubt.

Do you still have to do the steaks on those hot plate things yourself at the table?

Spoilt it for a group of us a couple of years ago, when the ones having steaks were still trying to get them cooked to well-done whilst everyone who had ordered other meals had already polished theirs off.

Mentioned it to hubby ,who is great fan of steak meals, and looks like we will be visiting one of these weeks ( got to book the thursday off after it though.........on a rare evening out we make a good night of it! :pint: )

When we went they cooked the steaks to order...I don't think the slate thing was an option.

It is every Wed as far as I know. Your gf could always have the mushroom, goats cheese and spinach Wellington with tomato fondue...

I match your pesky vegetarian other half, and also raise you with non-mushroom eating, and pregnant (so no alcohol, not much fish etc)...

She has to spoil everything..... :(

Just returned from Steak Night and it was great! 10oz Rump for the wife, 16oz Sirloin (£3.25 extra) for me and a nice bottle of red! Service was superb from all of the staff.

Really couldn't fault the night, especially for the price. Definitely book it and give it a go.

Remember the lesson folks, use it or lose it! Offers like this are worth keeping!
