We're expecting a large donation of equipment in around two weeks time, it's extremely high value and the most items we've ever been donated in one go. It was totally unexpected and it's caught us completely off guard. There's no way we'll be able to mash our way through the refurbishments in any near future, and even if we split it between all of our tech guys, our sheds would all be full and there would still be a heap left over. Besides which, sheds probably arent the best place for these, we're looking in the region of £10K of items, and unmeasurable secure data which we'll need to erase. It's unprecedented to us, and as most of you know, we don't have our own office or workshop, we all work on this project in our spare time at home, around day jobs and families.
What we need is a secure dumping ground, we've a very small and specific time slot to collect the donation and we really need a quick drop off point near to the donor (North End) where we can put everything and keep adding on the day, it's going to take us several cars and several journeys. Once we've finished loading up we can then lock it away and filter off bits and bobs to each of us every so often until we've made a dent in the pile and can relinquish the space. All told, we'd probably need it for 3-4 months and around 10 cubic foot would be about right.
Does anyone have suggestions, we can get that exact space at SureStore for around 6 quid a week, the other storage places only appear to have large containers which would be a bit overkill. Are there smaller outfits you know of which we can contact, or businesses you're familiar with in the Tollgate/Redhill etc general area, who'd rent us a corner that size for that time? Security is a must, as is access at odd hours, mains power a bonus. It's all got to be above board, we'll need invoices and those will be paid from our trust bank account.
If it's super economical it may even become an ongoing arrangement as our sheds and dining rooms are already beginning to burst at the seams with stuff we're currently working on, and frankly, we need a bigger boat.
Ideas welcome :)

"10 cubic foot" is not very big - do you mean a 10 foot cube?

That would be 1,000 cubic feet.

Thank you to everyone who responded to our appeal for storage.
Following a much appreciated anonymous donation we have now secured enough cash to pay for temporary secure storage for a couple of months, which will address the immediate issue.
We'd still like to look for something a little more permanent in the long run. A working space with secure access, power, storage, and economical rent, would be ideal, so we're still open to ideas....
