Supermarket drinks offers

Just for @Carole as I know she likes a booze up....

Ahem, yes quite. :embarrass:

Actually we've cut down quite considerably for the sake of our health and waistline, not drinking at all during the week and only indulging on weekends.
We do however still buy booze in industrial quantities for when we've got friends round.

Thanks for the heads up, I really appreciate it, I had no idea at all that you could double up on nectar points, all the years we've been collecting and never knew this.

Also the timing is perfect because we've offered to buy some wine for a church function and only last night I said "I wonder if there's a wine offer on anywhere?"

By the way, I think I missed wishing you birthday greetings the other week, I hope that you had a lovely day.

And drive to Scotland and make a mint?

Presumably it would be legal to buy cheap booze in England and run it into Scotland but illegal to then sell it at a price below 50p/unit.However it would be difficult to prevent Scots buying cheap booze in England and taking it back to Scotland for their own consumption. So there would be a marketing opportunity for a chain of cheap booze supermarkets about a mile inside the English border on every main road into Scotland?

Perhaps there could be one of Mrs May's technology-based smart borders to control it?

This was one of the points raised in this eves QT.

Shares in Bargain Booze - making life richer for the pourer - a reasonable 'short'?

Asda have prosecco in their 6 for £25 offer, even though it doesn't appear to be on the website. Paging @Carole

Brilliant! That's excellent value. I shall pop over tomorrow.

I do believe that Tesco now have 25% off 6 or more bottles as well.

We also used our nectar points to double up on wine in Sainsbury's at the weekend thanks to a heads up from @littleme.
:)

I did indeed partake of the 6 for £25 offer.

Thanks @Lucy for alerting me to this bargain.

I think I got my money's worth.

Sainsburys 25% off is back on until 12th Dec.

(Has been for over a week, but I forgot to post sozzies. )

Took advantage of the 25% off and stocked up AGAIN.
I think we've stocked up every time there's an offer on.

Honestly, I've no idea where it all goes.

Well actually that's not strictly true.

I sort of do know where it goes really. :embarrass:
