TABLET USE IN THE CAR - 4G QUESTION

Good Day Folks,

Any sensible advice would be most appreciated.

I regularly find myself a passenger for 8 hours on the motorways of the uk every couple of weeks or so.

This time could be put to better use than eddie spotting so I would like to access my emails and browse the internet.

I will not be downloading films but working instead.

Should I buy a new tablet? should it have a keyboard?

Should I get a laptop instead.?

Which network would be the best sim to get?

How much data do I need?

Will the thing drop out and be well slow - would I be wasting my time?

I dont mind spending a few quid if it will work and be productive.

Thanks for reading and let me know if you have any ideas or experiences.

I find motorways are generally well covered, but you could always look at your network’s coverage map.

Also worth noting that the most cost effective method is to tether your tablet to your phone and share its data plan, albeit not the most convenient.

Other than that, yeah I guess it really depends on what you’re doing, but if it’s mostly browsing an email a 4G iPad is probably quite a good choice? Whether you get a keyboard or not is down to your own preference.
