good point about size when one is in a showroom one can get a bit carried away i'll keep that in mind next time i'm in currys...

yeah, the thing to bear in mind is that when you see them in a shop, they are invariably perched in amongst other TVs.. so even mid-sized ones (e.g. 37") can look tiny because they are having to compete with their 42" and 50" cousins! once you've got one in your front room you'll be amazed at how much bigger they look..

Aye ask tek, he has a reasonable living room and a 40" in there, allbeit with a bezel thinner than victoria beckham and it dominates the room.

Just saw this over at ebuyer, only a 32" screen but a built in hard drive recorder. I'd still go for the seperate options though.

In an effort to be helpful I have just Googled - 42" stunner - I would suggest that you wait until she's gone shopping before you do the same.
