see, i don't know if that's necessarily true.. people often comment that this forum can be a bit cliquey (or "clicky", as the kids these days seem to think it's said) and i think that's because when you, personally, voice a controversial opinion you have friends who will (naturally) back you up..

i'm not accusing you of deliberately getting your mates to back you up or anything daft like that, i just mean that there are a few prominent members of this forum who are good friends with you IRL, and who agree with you on a number of issues, so it can sometimes feel like your opinion is the prevailing opinion of the forum!

i guess the point i'm making is: i wouldn't automatically assume that you are the "most disagreed with forumite"! certainly, to the more liberal members, i'm sure it feels like exactly the opposite, sometimes :P

I do see what you're saying, and yes I do voice controversial opinons, and lots of them, frequently. I think recently i have been more in tune with a greater proportion of views, although the back end of 2009/beginning of 2010 I was upsetting people left, right and centre - literally. Not that I do it intensionally, of course, but I do have quite a black and white view of life.

How about most controversial forumite then? Forumite most like Jeremy Clarkson, perhaps.

Let's see what admin comes up with. Deffo want tori's award though, it's awesome!

Ah no i was referring to the 'I don't think that's necessarily true...' - it would have been hilarious if you just wrote 'i disagree'. Tongue in cheek remark for sure!

In light of recent political correctness, I have quite a black, white, blue, orange and green view of life.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaanyway.....wmr has helped me out quite a few times PC-wise, and I've also recommended him to a few others who don't use the forum. Each and every time he's come up trumps, which is unusual for someone who seems to do so much! The more peoples' laptops/PCs you fix (apply this to any service/product you can buy), the higher the chance something won't go exactly to plan.

One of the best things about wmr is his ability to tell you in layman's terms what he's doing and why. That, along with his general good nature and willingness to just get the problem sorted make him a great asset to all Staffordians. What if we weren't able to access the forum for an evening?! ....I dread to think!

There's only been one slight hiccup! Haha!

Agree with you there!

When I got my repaired computer back he had written down exactly what work he had done and advice on things what to do/not to do on restarting it,both in Computer jargon and then,in brackets, in my sort of language ;)

It nice to find a genuine bloke who won't rip us off just because we haven't got a clue on fixing computer problems .

(Another genuine bloke on this forum ....Rikki....done a few good jobs for us (thanks to the recommendation on here) and our first port of call for any other jobs we need doing :) )

Huge thanks for fixing my PC, it's rapid rashers now and the res is great. Anyone who needs any help in the PC area, this man is top.
