That Game Where They Kick the Ball.

That would be interesting, but he'd be a bit like Dennis Skinner, he'd spend much of his time being marched out of Parliament. It would be bloody good to watch him fire up though .... :heyhey:

I've already called the pitch a 'court' and said they 'bat' the ball to each other so I no Idea what sport I'm actually watching!
So I no idea?

What sport?

You are actually watching!

Everybody likes to shit on football...

But it is, without doubt, the most popular sport on the planet.

It doesn't matter one iota if you think it should or shouldn't be, because it is.

You can denigrate it, take the piss, make your 'where-they-kick-the-ball' downgrades of it, but you will find that it is the most popular sport on the planet anyway.

And when they 'play the game where they kick the ball' , many millions of people stop and watch 'them' do it.

Because it is a fine game, and it is often played very well and in a pleasing manner.

And the haterz?

Well they can go f**k themselves.

Popular does not guarantee good, brexit was popular.
That's an interesting comparison, not least because it rests on shaky foundations.

About half the population of the UK voted in the EU Referendum. About half of those that voted, voted to 'Leave'.

So, of those that expressed an actual preference - you can tie yourself in knots deciding what those that didn't vote voted for/what couldn't vote would've - actually, only one quarter of the population actively chose brexit, yes?

That doesn't sound very popular really.

Fun fact - more people watched the Final (31m) than voted Leave (17m) by quite some margin.

But you have convinced me that, actually, football is sh!t, and those that enjoy it are wrong to do so.

Well done, you've earned your...

People who don't vote agree to go along with the decision of those that do, having seen the general public that never seems a good choice.

Well quite, but it cuts both ways - the only inference you can genuinely make from an uncast vote is that they don't GAS either way.

It does not detract from the fact that Brexit was an active choice for only ~ one quarter of the UK population.

To suggest it was 'popular' is problematic at the very least.

OK, it was more popular than not brexiting?
