I'm not a great fan of beans with a full English (or "Traditional English Death-Plate" as I once heard it called). To be fair, I'd probably just manage with bacon, sausage, plum tomato and fried bread .... and pickled onions and cabbage.

Re The Bod, despite living only about 10 minutes walk away, I've only been in to eat or drink about 3 times. I've never been that impressed with the food, and though the beer's good, I'm not much of a daytime drinker. It's good for Christmas pressies, though - I usually get half a dozen bottles each for my son and brother.

Must admit that if there's one item from a full English I could do without, it would be beans. Unless they're really really stodgy.

You can keep the tomato and hash browns, I'd want another slice of toast and a second egg, a lot more black pud and mushrooms. And that bacon's a bit underdone for me. x
No sausage for me,, no toast or fried bread, maybe a slice of bread & butter, more bacon, more mushrooms, and only BROWN sauce!

Although........ how on earth can you have a breakfast without beans?? :shifty:

Beans are the best part of a cooked breakfast for me! Hate it in hotels when they haven't got them on.

And me, I like it well done and crispy fat .

Love fried bread and Hash Browns.

Mushrooms ok if they aren't all watery on the plate.

Don't like Black pudding at all .

Not a fan of tomatoes, but can eat them if they have ketchup on.

Like fried eggs when cooked properly, and not undercooked .

Hate it in hotels when potatoes and chips are heated up and put on the cooked breakfast. Always assume they are left overs from the previous evenings meals.

It's got to be a pretty crap establishment that serves chips with a Full English. Even Spoons don't do that!

A 4* hotel we regularly use puts them out on the buffet . Not there everytime , sometimes shrivelled up chips or shrivelled sliced up roast potatoes, that what makes me think its last nights leftovers.....
I just pick and choose what looks fresh & tasty of the other breakfast items. We get the breakfasts slung in for free now (as well as the best room in the hotel and free reserved parking spot. The management are falling over themselves to keep our custom , worth taking a past complaint to the top bods ;) )

123% of people would like some sort of egg ?
This means that an undetermined amount of people believe that a full-english-breakfast needs at the very least two, if not three, varieties of cooked egg?

Now that we are approaching a sort of lawless wasteland of morality, is it not too much to ask that we are able to punish such people by poaching them whilst still alive?

The Bod says -

". . . It’s with a heavy heart we inform you that after closing at 17.00 today, we will unfortunately not be reopening until the government allows us to reopen fully. We had hoped to operate as takeaway only on reduced hours, with reduced staffing. However, to make all of our staff eligible for 80% of normal pay funded by the government, we must close our site completely. Our dedicated team are the biggest asset we have, and any decisions we make must put them first. We’ve done some number crunching, and between government support and our own funds, the decision to close allows us to continue to pay all of our team 100% of their normal wages while we are closed, which is the best support we can give them at this troubled time, and means that when we are able to reopen fully you’ll be greeted by the same smiling faces . . !

Now, before we sign off, we’d like to ask a little favour. You’ve supported us fabulously during the (almost) 2 years that we’ve been open, and we’d like to ask you to transfer some of that wonderful support to our local suppliers. They will all have been hugely affected by the closure of multiple pubs, restaurants, cafes etc. So, if you are able to support any of the following, either by purchasing directly from them, or by purchasing their products when you see them available in retailers we’d really appreciate it, and we know they will too. Tiggy's Bakery supplies our baked goods, milk and dairy come from Wells Farm Dairy, Just Crisps - you’ve guessed it, crisps!, Martyn and the team at MM Fine Foods supply our meat products and all our coffee comes from www.chartleycoffee.co.uk.

Finally, if you find yourself unable to cope and need some Titanic beer - or gin! - our brewery shop at Titanic Brewery HQ remains open Monday to Saturday 9-5, or you can shop online at www.titanicbrewery.co.uk.

This is Team bod Stafford signing off. Over and Out."
