Well i think it's great, I love a bit of crazy golf!
Bernhard Langer was keen on that form, too.

So is it basically a tenpin bowling alley but in the middle of town?
Noooo!

There’s a JETSKI!!!

Keep up

And cold beer

And crazed golf - argyle v neck jumpers all round!

It’s basically a youth club for all those people who got thrown out of youth clubs in their youth

So a very wide audience locally

Great

We just need a cat cafe next door now

I had a peek earlier (assuming it’s the old branded bargains?) & it doesn’t really look close to opening from the bit I could see.

The opening date does seem a little optimistic given they’ve only just advertised for staff as well! It would be good to capitalise on the Christmas nights out (assuming people still do them) if they can get it up and running in time.

New bars for old?

Candid
The Ship Aground
The Emporium
The Devil’s Taphouse
Elon Muskovite
Hogarths
Hungry Horse
Plough and Knot

It’s a boom town!

Anyone drink in the County Officers?

How much is a pint?

What year does it taste of?

Brew Xl?

Arctic Lite?

Trophy Bitter?

Just little old me:)

Went yesterday evening. Reasonably busy with a mix of groups, from young guys who looked like they were starting a night out in there (complete with sand bucket mixers) to groups in their 50’s.

A fun idea and drinks reasonably priced. Hopefully the golf and bowling upstairs will open up soon and add something extra to the town centre.

What is the beer like? seems like these places should team up with local breweries, Candid and Slaters.

And with no customers both times I walked past it last evening.
I wish anyone starting a new business well however, I have been past the Empourium a couple of times this week (albeit during the day) & it doesn't look particularly inviting. That was a tatty building when it was the 99p/bargain shop & it doesn't look much different now. Looking at their website they appear to be aiming at the premium night out market however, it doesn't have that feel about it (not for me anyway).

I’m sure the owners are heartbroken

I got the impression they’ve deliberately gone down the slightly ‘post industrial’ look (I can’t offer better descriptionthan that, my interior design Knowledge is limited).

Think graffiti, corrugated sheeting, exposed ceiling and wiring etc.

I wish them well and would encourage everyone to pop in and give them a chance before passing judgement.

Not sure what was in the fridges but otherwise very standard Carling type taps; Carling, Madri, Coors etc.

Ah, that explains why they were posting about showing the world cup. I actually said it would be better for business to be a world cup free zone. Not everyone wants to go out for a drink and have football fans shouting at the screen. Not to mention this world cup is probably one of the worst decisions ever made by FIFA in terms of environmental impact and the number of deaths to create the stadium.

For info, Bod aren’t showing football. I imagine this means The Sun aren’t either.
