Have any forumites eaten out here recently? Any reports?
Planning a group night out and see that they offer a free minibus home service. 5 mile radius so good for Eccy.

Not eaten there, but walked the dogs there a few times in the summer, seems a nice pub.

Haven't stepped in the Fitz for over 32years. Had our small but perfectly formed wedding buffet in there.

Mrs T drove past yesterday and spotted a two for one offer on the A board outside so decided to take me out for tea.
Typical 70's country pub feel, clean but a bit tatty at the edges. 70's & 80's music playing. Big fire but not quite enough to warm the bar properly.
Very nice welcome from the young chappy on the bar, great pint of Pedigree, no cider of note.
Decided on the fish for me and chicken supreme for Mrs T.
Good size piece of well cooked fish, cooked through but not dried out, with chips & mushy pays, loveley. Mrs T's chicken likewise was cooked just right and came with chips and peas.
OK place, will defo go again to try the steaks.
