Well, you've answered your own question there. If you can't remember where you originally posted it, it's safe to say it bore no relevance to the thread you posted it in.

A good example (not that you should need one) of why this is important can be seen in the thread for The Why Not. Trumpet posted the original message as a throwaway comment in an unrelated thread. It might even have been in response to your off-topic post, above, that spawned this very thread, basil. As a result of its irrelevance to the thread in hand, however, it was glossed over.

So I moved it to its own thread, where it should have been all along, and all of a sudden people started paying attention, adding their opinions, contributing to the discussion, and now that thread has had 112 views and 11 replies! A lot nicer than being ignored, I think you will agree, especially for anyone coming to The Forum to look for comments on The Why Not.

Noooo, I usually call in there on the way to the Rangers or the Turkish.

Well kept beers and friendly customers.

I normally end up having a conversation with one or two of the regulars but that may be the well kept beers talking

And he draws beer off before selling the first pint of the day which is more than can be said of some pubs in the town better known for their beer.
