I have been told it is closed but have not been for a while. Can anybody confirm if it is open or closed?

Or in the evening when Mrs Trenchfoot and I partook of an evening meal. Considering it was a Friday night it was a bit quiet though, so if we don't want another pub closing it might be worth a visit. £11.95 for 2 courses or a bit more for 3 (can't remember if it was 14.95 or 15.95) was decent value.

Went last night, as trenchfoot stated it is £11.95 for 2 courses and £14.95 for three courses, there are some exta charges for some dishes but the food was outstanding well worth the money.

They do a great sized steak there and the time I went, was cooked beautifully. On that note, does any one know of anywhere, restaurant or pub, that does large steaks?

It will be well done.
They even phoned back to ask how a steak should be cooked, surly they could/should have asked on the night?

Oh my! Did you come to our family Christmas meal out a few years ago...

Who ordered Turkey? All hands raised.

Who ordered Salmon? No hands raised.

Well there's defiantly one order of Salmon...cue sulking & glowering for the rest of the meal as someone had to give in & eat the salmon.

Nice hat, I prefer the green ones.

Just to report, after my worries about having to pre-order the food....it was all rather nice....

It turned out we were in a large party of 24 & there was another large party also booked in at the same time....

Food was nice, it was all brought out promptly...no-one had to wait for their meal as often happens, chips were lovely & so were the roasted carrots & other veg.
My only complaint about the main was that the skin had been left on the chicken on my Hunters Chicken under the bacon & cheese which left it (chicken skin) a bit soggy....

Waiting on staff were lovely & nothing was too much trouble for them, puddings were great too & so were my cheese & biscuits...

Also, we didn't realise at the time, but if you book using your Taste Card you can have the meal for half price (for 2 people) or 50% off a group booking.
