Thought it had been turned into a Indian after Xena was forced to shut

Sad as it used to be a nice little friendly pub

The pub has been bought by approximately 30 people from Seighford and the surrounding villages. It has been bought without ties. Watch this space.

Excellent, but I would have expected you to at least wear ties when spending that amount..

Keep us up to date.

I went on Wednesday to the opening night, it's very nicely decorated, has a good selection on drink and the menu looked good as well (although they weren't doing food). I'll report back when I've eaten there.

I notice the pate starter has chutney with it. Just an idea, but if anyone from the pub is reading this please make sure you have some chutney. In the last month I have only eaten out maybe 5 times, but on 3 seperate occaisions we have been given a starter that stated chutney but it came without. The reply from the kitchen when questioned was invariably "we haven't got any chutney". None of these places told us up front, and none mentioned it when the food arrived. Whilst I almost expected this from the likes of a cheap pub I was rather unimpressed with this happening in the Post House!

Pate & chutney, what a weird combination. Never heard of it before, the chutney must completely overwhelm the flavour of the pate

Gotta admit pate and chutney isn't a combination I'd go for either, maybe its just as well if they run out for that one! I'm assuming you don't mix the two on one piece of toast, but each to their own.

The pub has a very pleasant and attractive young girl front of house , which makes supping the guest ales all the more pleasing.

But don't sit too close to the real fire - toasted buttocks may ensue
