Tried the new Monday Night Pizza Night last night, delightful, just as good as the ones i had in the summer!

This place never lets me down.

Mmm, need to put a new chain on the bike.....

..it wouldn't go up the hill on the way back without jumping teeth last time..

Had the chilli spud there again today - I was motorised this time, for logistical reasons. Very nice.

Discovered the log-burner in the corner.

It's all gone a tad bit bbq sauce, pulled pork and hotdogs!?

Why change a perfectly good lunchtime menu?
Just sayin'.

Possibly*, but a change can always do more harm than good, I've stopped going to places that have changed for the worse!

This one though, won't stop me going back of course, but I doubt i'll have a hotdog from there again, may as well go the local chippy and get a saveloy to chuck in a dry old bap.

*I was unaware that this place needed to up it's revenue, always busy, no?

Enjoying a drop of red.
Fair points and have heard similar from a couple of people recently.

Will see for myself tonight

I had to try the hotdog to feed my curiosity as well as my stomach, unfortunately, neither were impressed.

I'll stick to what I know next time, if it's still on the menu, as I'd noticed a couple of classics and favourites of mine had been dropped.

I loved the food there, but if its gone the way of a chain pub I'll not bother again. Not driving makes it a bugger to get to, a lot of effort when Pastiche is in town.

We had a very nice meal there earlier this evening. All the old favourites are still there. Food was nicely cooked, no complaints whatsoever.

It has to be said though that non of our party ventured to try any of the 'nouvelle cuisine'.

Do they still do the baked spud and chilli?

Apparently so.

I got persuaded, against all my advice, to go to the Holly Bush today - Mother's Day, for God's sake - in fact, it wasn't too bad, although it was absolutely rammed and the staff coped very well with an influx of diners that was on the scale of a small refugee crisis.

Steak & ale pie - very nice.
