No personal knowledge but reports on Mill at Worston suggest food ok, beer less so.

A few of us used to go to the Mill at Worston on friday lunchtimes years ago. They'd always moan at us that we should give them a call first to let them know how many were coming.

I remember Marstons Pedigree and folk evenings at Worston Mill not long after it opened, and it wasn't much of a walk from Norton Bridge railway station.

Yes but Great Bridgeford railway station closed when I was four and long before Worston Mill opened as a pub.
I think there's still a gap between the tracks where those middle two platforms were.
I know it did but I assumed you would have known of another drinking establishment in that area even when you were just four 😂
