Has anyone been here? I wasn't aware there was a Chorley in Staffordshire til a few weeks ago, but since riding past what looked like a lovely pub, I fancy visiting for a meal.

I can't find this Vulcan nose on Google Earth, but it used to be in a front garden on the Chorley side of Burntwood. I believe that it may have gone to a museum now, though.

Malt Shovel is an excellent little boozer, friendly staff and decent food. Not the cheapest pub grub around but far from the dearest.

Called in last Saturday for lunch. First time. Food is not your usual two for a tender stuff. Nicely individually cooked, very pleasant staff. Generally £6.95.Will be going again. Prices look about double in the evening.

We did indeed go; it was lovely. I had swordfish, I think it was around £11.95, but for good food I don't mind paying (the boyfriend paid so even better!)
