Well, that was good. The Nature Centre were like a hardened up Delta 5 - the Courtesy Group were their 'normal' selves and the Nightingales were marvellous.

And I was hassled by @darben, but survived.

The Vapors and the Ruts DC are due.

And the Damned at the Wulfrun.

And Wishbone Ash, if that's your thing.

Well, my fourth experience of the Courtesy Group was the best yet - top notch stuff.

The bands either side were good, History of Sex and Qujaku were impressive live.

CG's Al was at his intimidating best, invading the bar space - the lighting was inadequate to get a good rendition of him hanging off the stairs to the emergency exit.

Some French girls had been attracted in somehow, and the only thing that impressed them more was my possession of professional earplugs, when they had had to resort to torn up bog paper.

Last minute decision tonight to go and see the Courtesy Group for the fifth time - probably the best of all my experiences of them so far - absolutely brilliant.

They were supporting a Japanese band called Mutant Monster. It meant nothing to me, but I was game to give them a listen anyway. They turned out to be totally superb. The night was the best 'gig experience' this side of about 1982ish, when things started to tail off a bit, certainly well before any of Mutant Monster were born.

If you can, just go and see them - trust me.

My remnants of pidgin Japanese got my copy of the CD signed.

Top night!
