If he wanted a job as MP he would get my vote.. seen him around Stafford more than our local MP.He was busy on Beaconside betwixt the university and Canberra earlier this afternoon........
"he deserves a medal" - yes, unlike all those civil servants and military officers who routinely get one for just doing their well renumerated jobs. The fella often seen riding a bike loaded with gardening tools, who then gets off and starts doing the Councils job by maintaining footpaths and pruning the hedges/shrubbery!
Sure he's been mentioned before on here? Saw him doing the area near the footbridge across the Sow between the garage on the Newport Rd and the rear entrance to the park! Have often seen him about and wondered what motivates him. Introduceded myself to Martin, and had a short chat! Took it on himself to do the maintainable as no one else was. Gets nothing for it. What a legend, he deserves a medal. Saw him recently doing the Rowley Bank hedge. It had become so over grown it was a danger, certainly if you were passing someone. One of you had to step in the road!
As I say IMHO a legend! Sure others have seen him. Told me he gets plenty of toots from cars, so others seem to have noticed him; just thought I ought to acknowledge his sterling community service!
