“Party revellers mixing drugs on our outside rear counter, smashed shop frontages, discarded takeaways, human faeces, vomit and rodents will only increase and potentially impact public health if this change of use is approved.”

Wow, micropubs have really changed post covid!

“The site is situated within Stafford town centre where there is a well-established night time economy."
"“The applicant states that they will also be operating a takeout bottle shop so that people can come in and buy the freshest craft beer in cans and bottles "

Think some of the objectors might be concerned that some of those enjoying the facilities of the night time economy may then buy takeaway craft beers and consume them in some quantity in the immediate vicinity. Hope, though that it is as good as Candid.

Craft beer costs too much for general alcoholics, so surely most customers would sit in the pub? As for a lot of the other complaints, yes people shoot up behind there and have for years. It's not the drinkers though, very different sort of person causing that problem and having an open establishment there at night will be more likely to drive them away.

It's a good name, because any ship that finds itself in Stafford is SERIOUSLY aground. :heyhey:
Was the shed beside the bridge on Riverway not, technically, the Training Ship 'Superb' at one time?

Maybe it still is, but the signage seems to make no reference to that 'fact' now.

There was also the concrete yacht in Milford.
