I survived tonight - it's not too bad a place.

There are PVC items to entice @ATJ in.

The maps may help, if you can't remember how to get home.

Called in last night and really liked the place.

Nice vibe, good beer, attentive staff and great music. There weren't too many people in when we arrived but it soon filled up shortly after the DJ started with his vinyl Reggae collection.

There were two handpumps on but I only tried the Frosty Bog which was a rather pleasant pale ale. A round of three pints came to £12 which was less than I was expecting.

We all said we would go back in again soon.

We got talking to the owner, Jenna, and she said it was ok to take your own food in if you wanted to and that they had some arrangement with Patti and Ting. I suggested that they perhaps do a mutual deal with Thawa Bridge whereby customers can get take out beers from the Ship Aground to drink at Abdul's or get a curry to take into the pub

"It will come as no surprise to locals and regulars that our beloved Ship is in trouble.
We've taken time to look at our options and seek independent advice, and while we wait for news of potential lifeboats, we're going to have a big weekend of sales to try to aid our cashflow as much as possible.
Come down and join us tonight and tomorrow!
Some of the beautiful artwork will be for sale!

I might have been a customer if they accepted payment by cash.
They don't take cash? The floodgate used to be the opposite, unfortunately meant many times I left when I fancied one last pint but couldn't be bothered to walk to the cashpoint and back.

That said though card only just seems odd.

I love micropubs and really want this place to do well, however when I visited I was disappointed by the decor and the general feel of the place. Hence why I've not rushed back.

I don't mind paying £5-£10 for a decent / quality pint so that didn't put me off when i went but i suspect many other people would be.
