I'm surprised nobody's mentioned this on here. Has anybody spotted / been eaten by / owned The Stafford Beast?

I think everybody knows that it must be a large cat that has been released into the wild, although maybe you have an alternative explanation...?

Does the smelly teenager that lives in our house count?

No, I haven't seen or owned such a beast.

Would love to know if somebody has as well.

I think I do a quiz with said beast. My sister saw the "Burton Beast", she described it as a "large cat". Knowing my sister, it was probably a large cat. But it makes a good story.

It has been established elsewhere in this forum that death threats are allowable. However, I am prepared to start with just a good punching.

there was a quote in the local rag from an eyewitness "it looked like a labrador, and it moved like a labrador, but I'm sure it was the beast"

...or it could have been the guy with the dark glasses and white stick being dragged along behind that was the beast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only just noticed this thread.
Is this the same "beast" that was mentioned a couple of years ago as a big-foot like creature sighted on cannock chase, or is this some new creature thats been sighted??

If it was the one from cannock chase, then i'm sorry. I thought about it long and hard, but couldn't come up with anywhere better to dump the ex, and i certainly didn't mean to panic anyone that goes there. However I promise she doesn't eat your dogs (at least, she didn't... but I guess it will now have been some time since she ate a Big Mac!!!!!)

They seem to devote space in the post to this almost weekly. I think i remember people claiming to have seen it on the castlefields golf course along with Gnosall and Haughton.

link to Stafford Post stories about it.

Just read that myself. Can't watch the video but the pic definitely looks cat like, although it's not very big.

If it's a standard gauge railway track, then it is a fair sized cat, but it doesn't seem to have 'wild' mannerisms - to me.
