We went there for Dinner for my Husband's birthday last night and it was lovely - but wewere the only people in the restaraunt - a real shame when you saw how busy Bella Italia was :ohno: (We've always had iffy service and dissapointing food there - last time we went they'd ran out of Pizzas! .

We were promptly seated but our understandably attentive waitress, I ordered the home made faggots, my husband the msuhrool tart and my farther in law the rib eye steak. Mine came with lovely gravy and bubble and squeak and they boys's came with really impressive hand cut chips that were stunning.

The only problam was we were all defetated by our massive posrtions that I couldn't even face the planned Pimm's Cheesecake for pudding - which just means we'll have to go back at some point, especailly since it's on the £15 a head 3 course set menu they do.

It will be a real shame if lack of interest close this down - they done lovely thing to the Sun Inn (always one of my faveourite pubs) and it's a credit to Stafford's eateries. excellent food, decently priced (only the steak broke the £10 a main meal price)

Sounds good. It always looks nice driving past, but its a bit off the main drag to ever walk past and look at the menu. I had no idea they did 3 courses for £15 - don't know if they advertise, but i've never seen anything so they need a big banner or something.

Might give this a try. What were the drinks prices like?

The Sun was the first place I had a meal out with my future wife, that being nearly thirty-one years ago when it was kept by Brian Deakin.
