To my mind that dramatically over glamourises the situation by a huge magnitude.
It reminds me of the words of Mr Frankie Boyle during the "What not to say at a dinner party" round on Mock the Week

"There is a vegetarian option......you can f*ck off"

Working in pubs, the amount of times people have actually walked out of the building because I've told them we don't sell Carling or Strongbow is unbelievable.
I just spent a week in Somerset walking out of bars because the best they sold was Bulmers :(
45% of british grown apples are used in cider making.....

I doubt...

Maybe 45 per cent of British commercially grown apples...

My trees are untroubled by the Scots or the Geordies

Myself and one mate had BBQ Chicken and Chips and another mate had Fish & Chips last Monday. Washed down with an iceberg, very nice. I think one meal came to 6-95 & the other 7-95. Chicken was good and the fish looked like I'll give it a go next time.

Called in again last night, a few of the Spitall Brook, Crown faces are starting to look a bit regular now. As well as a few from The Railway.
Fish & Chips looks bangin'. Looks like a quick couple in there tonight en route to the PandA.

I was in at 5.30 last night for a quick one, relaxed atmosphere, smiling barstaff, clean and tidy throughout, although the hand dryer in the gents was not performing at it's best........

Didn't hit the bar until about 7.00 ish. Trust you had a word re the below par hand drying facilities.

Called in Cheltenham Yates's last Saturday, no soap in the dispenser in the gents. Noticed that altough it was only 3.00pm the toilet check sheet had been ticked off up until 5.00pm. Had a word with the bar person to the effect that whoever had done the 5.00 check had failed to spot it. Nobody loves a smartarse.

Went to The Sun for a couple yesterday evening and it was heaving! Very encouraging. The place looks good and not OTT...however the Peroni was £3.60/pint!

:lorks:

Next time I think I'll opt for one of their much more reasonably priced ales!

I had a wander in for last orders after I'd finished working at the beer festival the other week, was pleasantly surprised with the interior lots of nooks and crannies for me explore next time I'm in Stafford. Beer selection was as ever fantastic, 5 Titanics plus a couple of guest ales all well kept (thank the lord for samples eh?!?)
