The Tap Bar & Restaurant - the old Tap and Spile.

What's the parking like around that end?
You can usually 'find somewhere' not too far away - people park in front of the tyre place when it's shut, etc.

There is a large, unused, but gated yard behind the tyre place.

It's not ideal for a transport-based business, though.

I never find a problem finding a parking space when going to games at Stafford Rangers and that's with crowds of 400 / 500 plus on average

Parking is awful. Their trade will on the whole be evening trade and more and more its getting near impossible to park after 6pm.

Looking forward to giving the New Tap a try. Photos online look pretty good so fair play to the new owner for giving it a go. Every Miller & Carter I know is busy most nights, so if the place does decent steaks folks will flock there.

I'm much more impressed than I expected to be - when the shutters were nailed on, I thought that was it.

Not too bad that! May have to venture in.

I'm guessing it's not open yet? if not, any ideas when?

Ah, didn't realise it was a Miller and Carter.

May check this out next week then

Sorry pal, the new Tap Steakhouse is independently owned, I was just using Miller & Carter as example of another ‘steak restaurant’. New Tap still looks worth a go though!
