Most boards don't use these now, they create cliques and they discourage a range of opinions. I have disagreed with someone and had points taken off me.

If you start contributing positively to the forums and getting involved rather than pissing and moaning about the inconsequential stafford points system, which, as pointed out above, has been covered in many threads and literally amount to **** all then you may find your karma improving.

I have posted about a few things actually, it's like the dark ages here, tow the party line and your ok but dare to question it and your made to look unpopular.

I'm planning to convert mine into Tesco clubcard vouchers.........

Think we should get in touch with tesco i would follow this one, a cuffy means you loose a point and a thumbs up means more tesco's points, all the more to hang on to why we visit spasda, i mean asda spelling mistake right there.

Could we get away with tesco points if we mention tesco enough i mean tesco are a big enough store in town, think of the publicity tescon - actual spelling mistake. thats tesco for you get to involved you eat tesco sleep tesco even shop tesco, think we would get away with it if we had a tesco topic lol did i fit it in enough to get 2 more points, if not i dont tesco believe it

So if it is that thread, I think your "clique" and "tow the party line" comments are well wide of the mark... people disagree on forums as they do in real life... I can't for one minute agree that anyone has been ganging up on you.

well said however the thought didn't tesco my mind, i mean to tesco think of it lol i agree on this forum people have the right to give there tesco piece of mind, See i am still in the moment. It is a forum all about stafford and surrounding areas after all, I wont be going to the lotus house anyways

I can't see a problem with getting likes, just not dislikes? This allows people to show appreciation for something, without the ability to vote someone down for voicing their opinion.

That's exactly the system the new Forum will use, as has been clearly outlined in the previous threads that halfmanhalfbrisket linked to.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. The Forum has no "party line" to tow! As has been stated many times:

I feel like sometimes people see The Forum as a single entity, with a single goal or motive, and so dismiss it if they see something they don't like or something negative directed towards something they have an interest in. Businesses/entrepreneurs/individuals/etc. need to understand that The Forum is completely unbiased, and merely a place for the people of Stafford to voice their opinions.

You only have to look at some of the threads round here to see how opposing some of the views are, on pretty much every subject you can think of; there certainly is no "party line" here!

If it wasn't for the constant threads about them then I wouldn't ever remember they are there...
