I know.

Usually bats that get left out in daylight get eaten by other predators which hasn’t happened.

Buts it’s still clinging on, we just thought that it would move in the dark but it’s still there.
When I was an outside smoker, we used to see Big bat & little bat, clearly not related but always seen at dusk, we figured the probably lived (not together) under the Isobel Trail Bridges. I'm now informed (not being a dirty smoker anymore) that there are now only 2 small bat's. Such a shame - loved to see them fluttering after moths.

Well this wasn’t today, but the other day. Husband spotted a splodge by the bottom of the front door.
We thought it was some moss that periodically comes off the roof.
So we went to brush it off.

Closer inspection revealed it to be a bat, so we left it.
We’ve lived here 20 years and have got used to bats flying around.

It’s been there for 4 days now so we think it might be dead, but it’s still clinging on to the brickwork.
So we don’t know what to do with it.

I saw a Merc convertible in Asda carpark with a lady sitting in the passenger seat.

After exchanging pleasantries I remarked what a lovely day it was to be driving around in a convertible. The lady's response was yes and it's a great to have the air con on at the same time. I didn't bother asking how it worked with the top down :)

Not today but from our trip to Braemar last week.

We were amused watching this family of four plus a large dog trying to fit into this Porsche.

We wondered whether the chap had met the lady and kids after he'd bought the Porsche and was just too proud or stubborn to exchange it for a larger sized family car :)

The rear tyres were virtually rubbing on the wheel arches when he drove off.

Somewhere around 2002 I bought a new Ford KA. Selected the model with the sun roof, Neptune Green colour, one of the odd add on packs - was told nothing like that was available and that it would have to be built to customer specification. Got a series of messages telling me how it was progressing along the production line in Germany. One "problem" was that air conditioning was on special offer at the time and you had to have it. Car was delivered with a handwritten note in rather stilted English saying that they did not think that it would be a good idea to have the air conditioning on while the roof was open.

For the last few days I've been pootling about in a car with a full length, folding Webasto-like canvas roof with the air conditioning on and the vents aimed at my face in order to keep cool. Ordinarily, I'd just drive with the roof open but not this week, too hot.

Not efficient obviously, and definitely no good for the already pitiful mpg but there you go.
