I used to love all those old Will Hay films. It's personal choice, not many would sit and watch them, I would if they were shown nowadays.

Oh the excitement! In this months Parish Newsletter that gets shoved through our letterbox I read that May is "Get Caught Reading Month", and that May also includes national events such as a "Screen-free Week", a "Root Canal Awareness Week", a "Deaf Awareness Week", a "No Socks Day" and a "Dance like a Chicken Day". Wonder what excitements June might hold, apart from a Jubilee.

... five or six blackbirds kicking the shit out of a crow.

They made their point quite forcibly and I don't think he'll bother them again.

Poor crow.

Recently we've had 2 or 3 magpies at a time, having a go at a crow... No idea why, it always seems to be in the same bushes backing onto the common, where neither of them nest...

Mmm, I didn't actually see what started it, I only witnessed the fracas itself, but events afterwards led me to suspect that the crow may have abducted a fledgling. There was cheeping from the hedge where the altercation took place and blackbirds were popping in there at times afterwards. I chose not to investigate too closely, in case my intentions were misunderstood...

I'm not really sure where the blackbirds nest, they don't interact with me much, largely just summoning me whenever there is a cat to be dismissed.

Actually yesterday I saw a bunch of under 18s win the FA Youth Cup watched by a bigger crowd than City get every week 😁

Probably my most enjoyable game at Old Trafford this season.

2 Ambulances, 3 Police cars and a Community First Responder, all parked up on the roundabout/ entrance to Sainsburys. I'm glad I missed whatever fracas there was, obviously wasn't good. Fingers crossed who ever is involved is ok.

Took a walk around lower Tamar Lake this morning beneath a cloudy sky with light rain, which we really do need. This meant going along something called the Bude Aqueduct, a sort of mini canal long since overgrown. All of this area is a wildlife reserve and what struck me is the vivid green of eveything and the huge amount of birdsong, with a distant wail of peacocks from someone who I'm told keeps them. It might be grey and wet, but it's still good to see all this ... :)

@littleme , and a group of colleagues, having their photo taken for either Crimewatch,
or Staffordshire Polices latest ''Have you seen these people'' poster.
Oi you! @Glam ! It was actually a 'REAL' photo shoot, with a real photographer, props & all sorts..... We got to drink champagne (it was schloer), do lots of still shots and lots of strange moving shots that included bowler hats, flags, cake, and booze, we pretended to shop and best of all I got the action movie part with me doing a 'supermarket sweep' style run down the Isles....

Hysterical day, I had no idea that was going to happen when I went to work this morning..... And now im stafford most famous model & actress! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
